Answer of this question is simple and incredible for many people ears... Weakest link in informations security awareness chain is PEOPLE!!! Why? Because we are people with human weaknesses and there are people who use that to get benefit.
Social engineering is the name given to a category of security attacks in which someone
manipulates others into revealing information that can be used to steal data, access to systems, access to cellular phones, money or identity. That’s definition, but actually, social engineering is the acquisition of sensitive information or inappropriate access privileges by an outsider, based upon the building of an inappropriate trust relationship with insiders.

A password is like a key to your home. If someone steals it, there are chances he will use it to steal something else. We use passwords everywhere in our life, but the life of an Internet user is absolutely impossible without passwords: e-mail, online discussion groups, e-bank, commercial websites — all of them use password-based authentication.
We use our “virtual keys” everywhere and all the time. We are so accustomed to passwords, that we don’t pay any attention to them until someone steals it …
For protection of our “virtual keys” we can choose a safe password. That makes a “job” for thieves much more difficult. It's not as hard as we can imagine!!!
In nowadays there are special information security awareness trainings, but here are only some simple rules that we need to notice choosing our “virtual keys”!!!

What is information security?
Information is an asset which, like other important business assets, has value to an organization and consequently needs to be suitably protected. Information security protects information from a wide range of threats in order to ensure business continuity, minimize business damage and maximize return on investments and business opportunities.

Why information security is needed?
Information and the supporting processes, systems and networks are important business assets. Confidentiality, integrity and availability of information may be essential to maintain the competitive edge, cash-flow, profitability, legal compliance and commercial image.

Increasingly, organizations and their information systems and networks are faced with security threats from a wide range of sources, including computer-assisted fraud, espionage, sabotage, vandalism, fire or flood. Sources of damage such as computer viruses, computer hacking and denial of service attacks have become more common, more ambitious and increasingly sophisticated.

The only way to prevent all of this is to know what to do and how to react in critical moments. Information security management needs, as a minimum, participation by all employees in the organization. Train yourself and your people to be aware.

Standarts - Information security standard policy

Information security awareness training is fully compliant with BS7799 standard. This means that all modules included in the training are designed to follow BS7799 guidelines.
What is BS7799 standard?
This standard gives recommendations for information security management for use by those who are responsible for initiating, implementing or maintaining security in their organization.
It is intended to provide a common basis for developing organizational security standards and effective security management practice and to provide confidence in inter-organizational dealings.
Recommendations from this standard should be selected and used in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

You will then receive a mail with further instructions.

Notice: Please pay attention to the warnings about blocking popup windows of your web browser when accessing the program from the client access. This may be why the new window that should appear after login does not show up. If the popup window is blocked configure your browser to allow popups from this address.

Another reason that window doesn't appear may be the firewall installed on the computer. You have to configure the firewall to “trust” the address the application is coming from.
Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

1. Is it possible to use a French version of Information Security Awareness Training?

Yes. Infosecuritylab has translated the Information Security Awareness Training modules into several languages from German, Italian, French to Spanish, Croatian, Serbian, Hungarian, Slovenian and Slovak. However, the main language in which the new courses are developed is English. We usually recommend the organisation to adapt the training to their own information security policies and most important risks.
2. Can we change the content of the training by ourselves?
Yes. The training has been designed in fully customizable way in order to allow training administrators to change any slides, add pictures, sounds or other material to improve the quality of the trainings.
3. Is it possible to link the Active Directory with the modules?
Yes. The module supports LDAP directories and it is possible to import the users from the Active directory.
4. Do you recommend that we provide the awareness training also to our top management?
According to our experience it is more useful to have a short workshop or training for top management face-to-face. However, we had many organisations were top management were very keen to do the training and pass the final test to obtain the e-certificate.
5. Do you recommend the 10 modules, each lasting for 15. minutes or simply one 45. minutes training that we have evaluated from you in your previous offer?
At the moment the Infosecuritylab is providing 10 different modules from Internet and E-mail security to Business Continuity and Anti-terrorism. However, we still provide to some organisations an integrated training that includes all those material and lasts approximately 45. minutes.
6. Is it possible for the training administrator to see how many people passed the exam?
Yes. The statistics can be prepared and used, but unfortunately not in the free version.
7. I have a client that would like to buy an Information Security Awareness Training. Is it possible to cooperate with you.
For sure, we are opened to all kinds of cooperation.
